As I was reflecting in my mind about preparing for my first eBook in the making. I allowed the clouds of thoughts and memories flow through my head. Some were good memories, and some were bad but I allowed them to go by so I can focus on my brainstorming for this book. Then suddenly it came to me. Spirit was allowing these memories to flow through because it was going to help influence me on what the main point in this book I wanted to address, and that is the redefinition of the word Selfish.
When we hear the word selfish, we automatically think of a person who think of themselves first and priority in a negative way. They have no feelings and respect for others because they are focused on personal gain or pleasure of self. Now you are probably thinking why would I encourage people to be selfish? Well, let's remember the value and power of words and how society has deprogrammed and conditioned us to view ourselves. If a person that is living day after day wanting to do something better for themselves such as going back to school, working extra hours to get that promotion, wanting to start a business, or you just simply just had a light bulb moment with people in your life and you're like " I ain't got no time for this!" You are changing, you are growing, you are becoming of your own, and when this happens, we begin to move away from the things that don't serve us in a positive way. We begin to put us first. We are not tagging along for the ride. We are not carrying the weight of laziness and greed from others on our backs because we go way back having nothing and they want you to be on their level because they are conditioned in the program society wants us to be.
So, I am telling you now starting today, we are changing the definition of selfish. Selfish is the action of self. To promote the healthy and positive characteristics of self by demonstration among a group of people or society. Lastly, to define healthy boundaries that encourage the action of loving oneself. So, after reading this blog, are you selfish!
